|The dreamy worlds in this blowball galaxy have been haunted by an evil plague||The darkness creeps through and hordes of hostile creatures infest these worlds|
These mysterious fireflies keep a secret
The legendary Light Force
In one world lives a wizard
who constructs a magic orb
equipped with extraordinary powers
To venture an epic journey
and search the Sprites
and find the origin of the plague
The orb is not defenseless
It can crimp a plasmoid
to shoot plasma balls
Runes enhance the orb's abilities
and provide powerful spells
There is a non-linear upgrade tree
Spells summon thunderbolts, meteors,
defensive fields, black holes, and more...

Plasmoid is a gemütliches* action adventure. There are no rushing elements, like time limits.
The gameplay is a varied genre mix which combines core elements of 2D action and adventure games. Strategic skill is required to choose upgrades and invoke magic spells wisely.
But it's not always gemütlich*.
At times when the orb is attacked by multiple enemies, the game can be hard and challenging.
And there is a mild form of "permanent death" to enforce carefulness and suspense. If the orb is destroyed, you will loose all upgrades which you don't have made permanent.
